The first few days with your braces might feel like a whirlwind of sensations. It’s perfectly normal to experience some soreness as your teeth start their journey towards alignment. This discomfort is a sign that your braces are doing their job. During this time, the soft tissues of your mouth, such as your cheeks and lips, will begin to adapt to the new hardware they’re sharing space with. To ease this transition, we provide soft orthodontic wax that can be applied to any part of your braces causing irritation.

It may seem odd at first, but feeling your bite change is a typical experience when wearing braces. As your teeth start to move, your bite will adjust. This change, while noticeable, is a positive indicator of progress and will stabilize as your teeth align.
